US-280 Duty Holster for Optic & Light-Equipped Pistols
Purpose-built for law-enforcement and correctional professionals, the US-280 delivers secure weapon retention and smooth draw performance with red-dot- and light-equipped sidearms. It’s part of U.S. Duty Gear’s professional line, designed for daily field carry and departmental reliability.
Retention Technology
- SRS Safety Retention System™ – automatic internal lock engaged on holstering; releases via ergonomic thumb activation.
- SRH Safety Retention Hood™ – press-and-rotate hood that clears in one controlled motion for rapid, consistent draw.
- Passive tension adjustment – lets agencies or officers fine-tune friction retention.
Optic & Light Compatibility
An integrated LAP™ (Lower Alignment Protector) supports the muzzle and shields mounted lights from leverage or impact.
- Optics: Trijicon RMR/RCR, Holosun 407/507/508/509, Leupold DPP, Aimpoint ACRO, Sig Romeo 1/Pro, Vortex Venom/Viper, C-More, Docter.
- Lights: SureFire X200/X300 series, Streamlight TLR-1/7/9, Modlite PL350, Olight PL-Pro, Nightstick TCM-550, Inforce Wild 1, and others.

- Shell: .093″ SDR (Synthetic Duty Rig) for impact and crush resistance.
- Interior: Thermo-molded with suede lining to protect slide and mounted accessories.
- Profile: lightweight yet reinforced for long duty shifts and harsh conditions.
Mounting & Fit
- Compatible with standard 2.25″ (58 mm) duty belts and Safariland-pattern mounts.
- Right- and left-hand configurations available.
- Threaded-barrel notice: not for pistols with threaded barrels.
Finish Options
Laminated finishes over the SDR shell: Leather, Basketweave, Plain SDR, High Gloss, Nylon Look, SDR Coyote Brown, SDR Army Green, MultiCam Black/Tropic, Wolf Gray and Nylon Army Green.

Used for an FN-509: The built quality of the holster was good - very similar to a S*****land. Likewise, the fit for the gun was equally good. Regarding the weapon light, it does not fit a Surefire X300 (though it indicates it does). It does fit the Streamlight TLR-7 and TLR-9 quite well.

I purchased this holster for use with my Walther PDP 5'. I use a Surefire X300A and a Steiner MPS. The holster is compatible with both. I have been using the holster on duty for several weeks. I have found it to be a similar quality and construction, if not better, than Safariland's 6000 series. Transitioning to this from a 6000 series was very easy, with minimal to no hiccups. The holster is professional looking, adequately strong, and a perfect alternative if you run a more niche firearm. I cannot recommend it enough. NOTE: The TLR1-HL does in fact NOT fit in the holster.
